1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how Mirthbit ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you visit keenbyte.top (the "Website"). Mirthbit is a free browser game platform: we do not require an account, and we do not ask you to provide your name, email address or payment details in order to play.

For the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation, Mirthbit acts as the data controller for the limited processing described in this policy. Our company operates the game servers used by the games in the Mirthbit library.

2. Information We Collect

We deliberately keep data collection to a minimum. The categories below describe the information processed by the Website and its hosting services.

Data stored in your browser (localStorage): Your favorite games, achievements, recently played games and language preference are saved on your device under keys prefixed with keenbyte_. This data is not transmitted to Mirthbit by the website code.
Server and CDN logs: Like almost all websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical request data such as your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, requested URL and timestamp. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
Cookies and similar technologies: The website code stores preferences in localStorage. The game runtime or external links may use additional browser storage as described in section 6.
Contact form submissions: If you use our contact form, we receive the information you choose to type into it (for example your name, email address and message) so that we can respond.
External services: The Website loads the Inter font through Google Fonts. External websites or services opened from the Website may collect technical data under their own privacy policies.

We do not knowingly collect special category data (such as health, biometric, religious or political information), and we do not ask for it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data to build cross-site profiles ourselves.

The current website code does not set advertising cookies. It uses browser localStorage for preferences and locally saved game progress. A game runtime may use additional browser storage to operate.

Preference storage: Favorites, achievements, play history and language preference are stored in localStorage on your device.
Game storage: A game may use browser storage for its own operation. Clear site data in your browser to remove locally stored information.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings and clear localStorage using your browser's "clear site data" function.

5. Advertising

Mirthbit does not currently load page-level advertising code, including Google AdSense. The Google links below are provided for your information and do not mean that Mirthbit currently serves Google ads:

Turning off ad personalization does not stop all data processing by Google or prevent contextual ads. If we add an advertising service, we will update this policy before serving ads with details about the provider, the data it uses and the choices available to you.

6. Company-Hosted Games and External Links

Games in the Mirthbit library are owned by our company and served from company-operated game servers in an embedded frame. When a game loads, your browser connects to our game server, which receives the request and associated technical information such as your IP address. The game runtime may use browser storage to operate.

Links that take you to external websites or services are governed by their own privacy policies. If a game uses an external service, that service may process data under its own policy.

7. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Visitors)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

Legitimate interests: Operating and securing the Website and preventing abuse
Consent: Optional storage or advertising, if introduced and where consent is required

Browser localStorage: Kept on your device until you clear it. We cannot delete it for you.

For anything else, contact us using the details in section 14. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. EEA and UK residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

11. Managing Your Data Yourself

Clear stored preferences: Use your browser's "clear browsing data" or "clear site data" option for keenbyte.top to remove favorites, achievements, play history and language preference.
Block cookies: Adjust the cookie settings in your browser, or use private/incognito browsing.

12. Children's Privacy

The Website is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction, such as 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
